Always avoid harsh chemicals like bleach, ammonia, and abrasive poders as these can break down the protective wear layer on your floors. The best product for your floors would be a pH-neutral cleaner, which is specifically formulated for vinyl and prevent residue and streaking.  You can also use a small amount of dish soap mixed with warm water. Avoid use of wax-based products, which can make the floor hazy and slippery.

Laminate floors are easy to maintain; simply sweep or vacuum regularly to keep the floor free of dirt and debris. You can further reduce grit on the floors by using mats at entrances and area rugs in larger spaces. Remove spills with a microfiber towel, paper towel or very lightly damp mop with water. Avoid exposure to excessive water, as laminate can absorb the moisture. Over time, exposure to excessive water can cause warping.

Carpet padding directly impacts the longevity and functional use of your carpet. Padding comes in a range of types; each is unique in construction and features. The types include bonded foam/'rebond', synthetic fiber, memory foam, and felt pad. They vary in cost as well as their fitness for use in high traffic areas according to their thickness and durability. The Flooring Innovations team can help you determine the right carpet padding for your specific use and budget.

While carpet does trap dust, dirt, and particles in their fibers, the trapping of these removes them from being circulated within the room; they are able to be vacuumed up. For this reason, carpets can be a factor in improving your air quality provided floors are kept vacuumed regularly.

Carpet does act as an insulator, although it is not necessarily able to 'reduce draft'. Carpet does help keep rooms warmer during cold months.

Vinyl is actually a great option for humid areas due to its moisture-resistant qualities. It is often used in bathrooms, kitchens, and basements.

It can be. Many of the manufacturers offer vinyl flooring options that have been made from recycled materials.
